Inland has been building in Tampa since 1988. For most of those years we built homes in Master Planned Communities, but we are in the midst of a strategic business model transition that redefines our approach to product design, property acquisition, development, and customer-facing processes. We are focusing on redevelopment within the best neighborhoods of Tampa, building tailored infill homes priced between $1.6 and $3 million, with an eye on small-scale commercial redevelopment over the next 5 years.

Every product has its own set of plans, options, pricing and specifications which must be connected back to a set of comprehensive blueprints. This role covers the key functions that ensure everything in that realm stays organized, up-to-date and accurate.

The Role

This position manages our product data: the option catalog, the takeoffs and pricing, and the plans, renderings and selection sheets our customers and field teams use. Every piece of data must tie back to the official set of blueprints. When a blueprint or standard material changes, this position carries that change through every option, material count, marketing rendering, floor plan and selection sheet. 

This role also generates POs and EPOs and is the point of contact for the field needs of our Construction Team and Building Partners.

What You Would Do

• Maintain our option catalog across every plan, adding, revising and retiring options, with verified takeoffs and current costs, each one tied back to its blueprint.
• Carry standard material changes through every affected option, takeoff and budget before they reach the field.
• Maintain the master set for every plan, and keep blueprints, renderings, floor plans, inclusion sheets and option catalogs accurate and consistent with each other.
• Check field prints against the master set and the current truss package before they go out.
• Run a controlled release process for plan and option changes, so revisions arrive in batches rather than at random.
• Generate and follow through on POs and EPOs, and serve as the point of contact for Construction Team and Building Partner inquiries in the field.

What We Are Looking For

• Experience managing data or specifications across multiple linked systems, where one change has to flow through everything downstream accurately, and where the data has to match a physical plan or drawing. This could come from residential construction, manufacturing, engineering, architecture, or any environment with configuration control or bills of materials.
• Familiarity with the estimating process, you can read a takeoff and spot when something does not add up.
• You can reconcile a blueprint with a rendering.
• You are comfortable working inside builder software, configuring plans, options and communities, or you have a track record of learning technical systems quickly.
• You are the kind of person who can’t stand it when two documents have conflicting information.
• You are comfortable being the point of contact for the field, you can receive questions from a Construction Manager or a Building Partner and follow through until it is resolved.
