Nurse Practitioner or Physician AssistantSanford Health, Marshfield Clinic is seeing a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their team at their Cornell Clinic. The Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner provides advanced nursing care to patients of all ages, from infants to older adults. This role involves assessing, diagnosing, treating, and managing acute and chronic illnesses, promoting health and wellness, and working in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare providers.Conduct comprehensive physical exams and health assessmentsObtain and interpret patient histories and diagnostic testsDiagnose and treat common acute and chronic medical conditionsPrescribe medications and therapeutic treatments within the scope of practiceDevelop and implement individualized care plansProvide health education and counseling on disease prevention and healthy lifestyle choicesManage follow-up care and coordinate referrals to specialists when neededPerform minor procedures as appropriate (e.g., wound care, suturing)Document patient care accurately in the electronic health record systemParticipate in quality improvement and practice initiativesCollaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team membersMaintain current knowledge of evidence-based practice guidelinesMaster's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner programCurrent licensure as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner in each state of practiceCurrent Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) permit to prescribe controlled substances in each state of practiceState Controlled Substance License (if required by State)National board certification as a Family (FNP-C) or (FNP-BC)Sanford offers an attractive benefits package for qualifying full-time and part-time employees.
