Electrophysiology (EP) Lab Technologist

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

4x10 hour shifts, from 07:00 to 17:30, with variations based on procedure completion.

Job Description

The Electrophysiology (EP) Lab Technologist will be responsible for assisting in electrophysiology procedures and providing care to adult and geriatric patients. This role requires proficiency in scrubbing various EP cases including Left Atrial Appendage Closure (LAAC) procedures and Leadless Pacemaker (PPM) implantation.

Responsibilities

• Scrub and circulate during electrophysiology procedures.
• Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies necessary for EP lab procedures.
• Accurately monitor patients throughout procedures to ensure safety and effectiveness.
• Maintain sterile field and adhere to safety protocols including isolation precautions.
• Conduct baseline measurements and recognize life-threatening arrhythmias.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 3 years of EP lab experience.
• National Certifications: CCI RCIS or CCI RCES, ACLS, and BLS.
• Current South Carolina license (SCRQSA) required.
• Radiation badge must be provided by the agency.
