Business Development Manager (Greater Cleveland)

Our client is a well-established, privately held third-party logistics provider with more than 20 years in business and a reputation for doing things the right way.

As they expand their Managed Transportation solutions, they're adding a proven hunter to bring in new mid-market accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Identify partnership opportunities
  • Develop new relationships in an effort to grow business and help the company expand
  • Maintain existing business
  • Think critically when planning to ensure project success
  • Sell strategic transportation solutions directly to business owners, operations leaders, and transportation decision-makers
  • Lead consultative conversations across a full suite of services: Managed Transportation, truckload, LTL, partials, drop trailer, and multimodal

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 3 - 4 years' prior industry related business development experience
  • A proven track record of winning new business in 3PL, freight brokerage, TL/LTL, managed transportation, or supply chain solutions
  • An established network of shipper relationships and the confidence to open doors at the owner/executive level
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven knowledge and execution of successful development strategies
  • Focused and goal-oriented
