Plant and Tree Care Specialist

Position Overview Plant and Tree Care Specialist – Needham, MA. This dynamic role involves working outdoors with a new view every day as part of our passionate landscape team. Compensation $26.00 – $34.00 hourly, based on experience. Job Duties Perform fertilization and pest management on trees, shrubs, and lawns using spray and injection tools. Identify and diagnose insects, weeds, fungus conditions, and pest-prone areas. Communicate with clients about diagnoses and prescribe pest control and fertilization services. Apply fertilization and integrated pest management treatments to trees and shrubs. Monitor pest control and fertilization efficacy after application and report progress to customers and supervisors. Operate, maintain, and drive truck and sprayer equipment safely. Other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Love of the outdoors. Preferred: Background in horticulture or landscaping. Preferred: Knowledge of turf, weed, tree, and shrub identification. Ability to complete Davey landscape career development books upon hire. Ability to complete Davey First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire. Required: Valid driver’s license.
