Senior Payroll SpecialistSalary: $90-100k+ depending on experienceLocation: Westport | Hybrid, 3 days onsiteWhy This Senior Payroll Specialist Opportunity?Clear path for growth as the company continues to growHigh-visibility role supporting a rapidly expanding organization that has more than doubled its U.S. employee population through acquisitionsOpportunity to work directly with an experienced and supportive leadership teamCollaborative culture with regular team events, celebrations, and employee appreciation activitiesHybrid schedule – 1-2 days onsiteResponsibilities of the Senior Payroll Specialist:Process regular and off cycle U.S. payroll, including collecting inputs, performing calculations, and ensuring timely, accurate payments.Ensure all payroll transactions comply with internal policies, federal and state regulations, and tax requirements, including timely tax payments and filings.Serve as a backup to team members and support knowledge sharing across the payroll function.Maintain and enhance process documentation; recommend improvements to boost accuracy, efficiency, and system optimization.Provide outstanding customer service by responding promptly and professionally to employee and stakeholder inquiries.Partner with cross-functional teams to support payroll-related initiatives, reporting, and projects.Preferred Experience of the Senior Payroll Specialist:Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business Management5–7+ years of hands-on payroll processing experienceStrong understanding of multijurisdictional payroll tax laws and regulationsWorking knowledge of accounting principles related to payrollDemonstrated ability to audit and reconcile payroll data for accuracy and complianceAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft ExcelExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage deadlines effectively
