Pediatrix Medical Group is excited to welcome a Neonatal Physician Assistant to our well-established and highly respected practice at Golisano Children s Hospital , the premier children s hospital serving Southwest Florida. This is a unique opportunity to practice high-acuity neonatal care in a state-of-the-art facility while enjoying an exceptional Gulf Coast lifestyle.\n

\n About the Practice & NICU\n

\n
• 70-bed, Level III NICU with advanced technology and a collaborative care model
\n
• Two-facility health system with 7,000 annual deliveries
\n
• Cape Coral Hospital provides Level I, low-risk delivery services
\n
• Primary responsibilities include attending coverage in the Level III NICU
\n
• Occasional Level I coverage including well-baby care with home back up coverage
\n
• Full range of subspecialty services available (excluding cardiovascular surgery and ECMO)
\n
• High-risk delivery service coverage
\n
• 12-hour shifts with an option for 24-hour shifts based on prior experience
\n
• Supportive team of 10 Neonatologists and 10 NNPs
\n
• Strong emphasis on developmentally sensitive, family-centered care
\n

Qualifications:\n

\n
• Current certification through National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
\n
• Minimum of a master s degree
\n
• Applicants must have completed, or enroll in, a one year post-masters Neonatal PA training program or have one year of recent experience as a Neonatal PA in a NICU
\n
