Surgery - Neurosurgery Physician

Opportunity Highlights

• Schedule: Call Only; 24/7 coverage, 7a on first day through 7a on last day of coverage. Two endovascular neurosurgeons dividing the month as evenly as possible. In addition to endovascular call, providers also take 4-5 days of general neurosurgery call and 3-4 days of Joplin call per month. Ability to cover 7-10 days per month, though may not be every month. Start Date: 9/23/2026, ongoing.
• Job Setting: Inpatient; Level 1 Trauma Center
• Types of Cases: Endovascular Neurosurgery call only for this opening. No clinic. Ability to take patient from call to OR/IR as needed. Required skills include: Cerebrovascular (Open & Endovascular), Aneurysm clipping, and Endovascular procedures. Preferred skills include: Carotid or Vertebral artery surgery and Placement of ICP monitors. Phone consults: 3-4. Support Staff: Stroke Team. In-house call; immediate response time required.
• Credentialing: Estimated credentialing timeframe: 90 days. Hospital/surgery center privileges required; temporary privileges available. Malpractice insurance provided by vendor. Dates authorized through January 2027.

Minimum Requirements

• Board Certified/Board Eligible: Board Certified or Board Eligible required.
• Certifications: ACLS required; BLS required.
• Licensure: Must be licensed in Missouri only. IMLC not accepted.
