Senior Property Accountant

Location: Niles, IL (On-site, 5 days/week) Salary: $85,000 – $100,000 (flexible for the right candidate) A growing real estate investment and asset management firm is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its finance team. Responsibilities Prepare and maintain books and records for assigned real estate portfolios, including posting journal entries, maintaining the general ledger, and performing account reconciliations Assist with the month-end close process, including preparation of adjusting entries and financial reporting packages Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements for multiple entities Partner with finance leadership on monthly and annual reporting requirements Support year-end audit and tax processes, including coordination with external tax advisors Assist with cost reporting and balance sheet analysis to ensure financial accuracy Work cross-functionally with asset management and executive leadership on ad hoc projects Provide timely and accurate accounting while managing multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment Interact with tenants and internal stakeholders related to assigned portfolios as needed Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance 3–5+ years of accounting experience , ideally within real estate or portfolio accounting Experience in commercial real estate, institutional real estate, healthcare real estate, REITs, or similar environments strongly preferred Exposure to skilled nursing facilities, post-acute healthcare assets, or healthcare real estate portfolios is highly preferred Strong understanding of core accounting concepts including accrual accounting, cash accounting, and adjusting entries Yardi experience strongly preferred Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel CPA or public accounting background is a plus On-site role in Niles, IL Collaborative team environment reporting to finance leadership Medical, dental, and vision coverage Strong 401(k) match Unlimited PTO Company-paid short-term and long-term disability On-site gym and stocked kitchen This role offers the opportunity to join a stable, investment-focused organization with a growing healthcare real estate portfolio while working closely with leadership across accounting, asset management, and acquisitions. #J-18808-Ljbffr Addison Group
