Senior Property Accountant Salary: 90k-100k plus bonus (based off experience level) Why This Opportunity Stands Out Join one of the largest and most established commercial real estate firms in the Chicagoland area Strong track record of promoting from within and investing in employee growth Gain exposure to acquisitions, dispositions, financing activities, and portfolio-level reporting Work closely with experienced accounting and property management professionals Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits package Tuition reimbursement to support continued professional development Hybrid work schedule offering flexibility and work-life balance (WFH on Fridays) Collaborative, team-oriented culture with a casual work environment Opportunity to contribute to a growing organization with a stable long-term outlook Broad accounting exposure that can accelerate career progression within real estate finance Key Responsibilities For The Senior Property Accountant Prepare and post monthly journal entries and account reconciliations Maintain balance sheet schedules and support month-end close activities Record and analyze capital activity, fixed assets, and depreciation Assist with accounting for acquisitions, dispositions, and financing transactions Partner with Property Management on variance analysis and budget support Support audits, tax filings, lender requests, and financial reporting activities Qualifications For The Senior Property Accountant Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field 4+ years of accounting experience Real estate accounting experience strongly preferred Experience with financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end close processes
