In this contract opportunity, you’ll support a diverse caseload as a school-based Occupational Therapist, making an impact across a full academic year.

This part-time position offers up to 20 flexible hours per week—an ideal fit for professionals seeking balance and the chance to tailor their schedule. Collaborate with school teams, the program director, and the Lead OT to deliver both direct and consultative services to middle schoolers. The majority of your caseload will involve consultative support, with approximately ten students requiring ongoing direct therapy and fifteen benefiting from your expert consultation.

Your core responsibilities will include:

• Providing direct and indirect OT services to students according to their individualized plans
• Conducting thorough evaluations as the need arises throughout the school year
• Collaborating with teachers, families, and support staff to facilitate student progress
• Assisting with program planning and supporting OT best practices across assigned schools
• Potentially engaging with an elementary caseload if expanded mid-year

To thrive in this position, candidates should offer:

• A current, active Occupational Therapy license in Virginia
• Experience with school-based OT services or a passion for pediatric/educational settings
• The ability to start the Virginia Department of Social Services background check immediately
• Proof of recent TB testing
• Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills
