Collections Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented Collections Specialist to join our team in Houston, TX. This individual will be responsible for managing outstanding accounts, communicating with customers regarding past-due invoices, and ensuring timely payment collection while maintaining excellent customer relationships. Responsibilities: Contact customers via phone and email regarding outstanding invoices and payment status Review aging reports and track delinquent accounts Utilize client systems to research, analyze, and resolve invoice discrepancies Work closely with customers and internal departments to facilitate payment resolution Maintain accurate records of collection activities and customer communications Follow up on overdue accounts while providing exceptional customer service Support accounts receivable processes and help reduce outstanding balances Required Qualifications Experience in collections, accounts receivable, or customer service Strong written and verbal communication skills, including professional email correspondence Experience navigating client systems to review and manage outstanding invoices Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook and Excel Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in a high-volume collections environment Familiarity with ERP, accounting, or invoicing software Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is customer-focused, proactive, and comfortable having payment-related conversations while maintaining positive relationships.
