Functions in a professional manner on a wide variety of surgical procedures. Selects and prepares the appropriate supplies and equipment for the surgical cases. Scrubs on surgical cases, operates surgical equipment, participates in surgery by organizing the instrumentation, participating in surgical counts, and performs related activities under the direction of the Registered nurse circulator and surgeon.\n\nQualifications:\n\nEDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: :\n\n\nRequired: Graduate of an Accredited School of Surgical Technology\n\nEXPERIENCE REQUIRED: :\n\n\nOne year experience working as a certified surgical technologist preferred. \n\nPROFESSIONAL LICENSURE AND CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:\n\n\nCertification by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA), BLS required\n\n\n Tenet complies with federal, state, and/or local laws regarding mandatory vaccination of its workforce.
