Quality Assurance Specialist (Japanese Bilingual)Location: Torrance, CAPosition Type: Direct-Hire / ExemptReport to: QA/QC Assistant ManagerWork Schedules: 9am -6pmPosition Summary: A global food manufacturer is seeking a highly detail-oriented Quality Assurance Specialist to join their team in Torrance, CA. This role bridges the gap between our U.S. operations and our international production facilities. You will be responsible for ensuring that all quality standards, technical documentation, and regulatory processes are maintained with precision. The ideal candidate will combine a background in Quality Assurance (preferably within the food industry) with strong Japanese/English bilingual capabilities to facilitate seamless communication with our global partners.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesQuality Oversight: Partner with the QA/QC Assistant Manager to uphold strict product integrity and international compliance standards.Technical Communication: Serve as the primary bridge for technical communications between U.S. operations and Japanese HQ, ensuring absolute accuracy in reporting.Document Management: Oversee critical quality documentation, including Certificates of Analysis (COA), product specifications, facility audit reports, and corrective action documentation.Technical Translation: Provide professional-grade Japanese/English translation for quality manuals, technical specifications, and regulatory compliance reports.Administrative Excellence: Maintain organized records, assist with label registration, coordinate with third-party laboratories, and manage retention sample collection and verification.Process Improvement: Proactively identify administrative bottlenecks and contribute to the refinement of QA/QC workflows.Qualifications Required:Education: Bachelor's degree.Language: Professional-level fluency in both Japanese and English (written and verbal) is mandatory for technical translation and HQ interaction.Experience: Proven experience in a Quality Assurance or technical production support role.Skills: Strong administrative acumen, meticulous attention to detail, and a high level of professional business etiquette.Preferred:Experience in the food industry or a regulated manufacturing environment.Demonstrated history of handling technical documentation and audit support.Experience in a role requiring complex technical translation.About Us: At Staffmark, we connect hardworking people with great companies, creating opportunities that make a lasting impact.
