Utility Worker

Utility Worker Transdev in Palo Alto, CA is hiring a Utility Worker. The Utility Worker reports to the Maintenance Manager and is required to perform facility and vehicle servicing duties to support the operation. We are looking for customer service-oriented professionals who are dedicated to safety. Benefits and Compensation Competitive compensation package: minimum $29.00 per hour – maximum $31.00 per hour. Vacation: two weeks per year. Sick days: 7 days per year. Holidays: 12 days; 8 standard and 4 floating. Key Responsibilities Support the operations team by moving, fueling, preparing, and maintaining the fleet of vehicles used to provide service daily. Perform light maintenance on frequent work areas, fueling stations, and related facilities so that they remain clean, tidy, and ready for use. Maintain accurate records of audited driver logs, yard counts, and mileage odometer readings frequently. Communicate and report any 3rd shift/overnight fleet concerns to daytime managers. Clean vehicles interior and exterior. Other duties as required and assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. Valid Class C driver's license for a minimum of 3 years. Must be able to work 3rd shift and/or flexible schedule as needed. Subject to DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason. Valid CDL Class A or B with airbrake endorsement. CDL training and certification can be provided after hire. Physical Requirements Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions. 100% of the job is performed outside, work alone and in remote locations. Push and pull objects up to 30 pounds, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level. Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing duties; tolerate exposure to dust, vehicle fumes, and noise. Sit for extended periods up to 6–8 hours per day; frequently walk long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces.
