Manager Fleet Strategy and Analysis

Position Title: Manager, Fleet Strategy & Analysis (LSC)Position SummaryThe Manager, Fleet Strategy & Analysis is responsible for the analysis, recommendation, negotiation, and execution of fleet related strategic projects and transactions including aircraft and engine purchases, sales and leases. The Manager leads a small team that works collaboratively with financial planning and analysis, corporate finance & treasury, network planning, legal, operational engineering, fleet programs and technical operations to build a holistic fleet plan to align with the corporate growth strategy. Essential ResponsibilitiesConduct analysis and present recommendations to executive leadership for all aircraft programs functions including leasing, purchasing, dispositions, and other ad hoc fleet programs initiativesLead the financial modeling and analysis of all fleet related transactions with a cross functional teamNegotiate and document aircraft leases, lease extensions, aircraft and engine orders and salesMaintain relationships with aircraft and engine manufacturers and aircraft lessorsAnalyze operational performance and capabilities of various fleet typesManage and administer all fleet related contractsManage the corporate capital expenditures forecastPartner with Corporate Finance on ownership analysis and capital considerationsAssist with aircraft delivery and closing processChampion sustainable long term structural costs and assist with corporate growth strategy as it relates to our fleetDevelop crewmembers into key assets and support their continued growthSupport Financial Planning and Analysis, Technical Operations and Treasury with long and short term financial modeling Other duties as assignedMinimum Experience and QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Aviation Business, Finance, Economics, Aerospace Engineering; OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a combination of a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of previous related work experienceFive (5) years of aviation finance and/or fleet management experienceExperience leading contract negotiations from start to finishHighly proficient with Microsoft Office suiteStrong analytical and presentation skillsAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyExcellent written and verbal communication including interactions with executive leadershipExperience project managing cross functional teams to deliver resultsStrong attention to detailAvailable for occasional overnight travel (15%)Must pass a pre-employment drug testMust be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is locatedPreferred Experience and QualificationsMBA, CFA, or other advanced Financial or Engineering degreePrevious aviation fleet management experience (OEM, lessor or airline)Knowledgeable in technical operations maintenance contracts and expensesCrewmember Expectations: Regular attendance and punctualityPotential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-noticeAble to maintain a professional appearanceWhen working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraftMust be an appropriate organizational fit for the JetBlue culture, that is, exhibit the JetBlue values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Passion and FunMust fulfill safety accountabilities as prescribed by JetBlue’s Safety Management SystemPromote JetBlue’s #1 value of safety as a Safety Ambassador, supporting JetBlue’s Safety Management System (SMS) components, Safety Policy and behavioral standardsIdentify safety and/or security concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlue’s confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report(SAR))Responsible for adhering to all applicable laws, regulations (FAA, OSHA, DOT, etc.) and Company policies, procedures and risk controlsUphold JetBlue’s safety performance metric goals and understand how they relate to their duties and responsibilitiesThe use of ChatGPT or any other automated tool during the interview process will disqualify a candidate from being considered for the positionEquipment:Computer and other office equipmentWork Environment:Traditional Office EnvironmentPhysical Effort: Generally not required, or up to 10 pounds occasionally, 0 pounds frequently. (Sedentary)Compensation:The base pay range for this position is between $114,000.00 and $170,000.00 per year.
