Position Title: Senior Project Manager, Fleet ProgramsPosition SummaryThe Fleet Programs – Senior Project Manager supports the execution of our high priority fleet program initiatives, leading project work streams within the fleet program project portfolio. The Senior Project Manager performs general project tasks such as project analysis and planning, task management, status reporting, business analysis and leading cross functional brain-storming sessions. The role involves working collaboratively with JetBlue Technical Operations, Engineering, Quality, Financial Planning and Analysis, Treasury, Commercial, and Legal teams to drive program results.This individual builds relationships, interacts and presents to people at different levels inside and outside the organization, influences others and is a crewmember whose personal values match JetBlue’s values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Passion and Fun.Essential ResponsibilitiesIdentify and document departmental objectives to align with project goalsManage medium to large-scale project work streams from initiation to completionSupport all phases of the project lifecycle to ensure successful deliveryFacilitate cross-functional discussions for effective collaboration and decision-makingDevelop schedules and monitor progress to manage timelines and risksEscalate and mitigate project risks for timely decision-makingLead the development of comprehensive project plansDeliver concise project status reports to keep stakeholders informedOversee budget tracking to ensure projects stay within budgetLead contract negotiations to secure favorable terms with partnersPrepare data analysis and ad hoc reports to support decisionsTake on additional projects or duties as needed to support business goalsGathers, documents, and understands departmental objectives and requirementsAbility to individually manage program workstreams with minimal leadership oversightSupport discussions with lessors on aircraft condition and problem solving of outstanding technical itemsAssists in the contracting and negotiation processes with potential business partnersOther duties as assignedMinimum Experience and QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a combination of a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of previous relevant work experienceThree (3) years of technical operations, engineering, or related experienceStrong JetBlue knowledge and ability to navigate the organizationKnowledgeable in aircraft technical components and maintenance contracts; ability to forecast technical expensesExperience working with external business partnersStrong capabilities with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and ProjectStrong verbal and written communication skills to effectively manage project communications and stakeholder expectations at all levels of the organizationMakes reasonable judgments quickly, and adjusts thinking to assimilate new information or ideasAbility to work independently and in a high pressure team environmentAvailable for overnight travel (30%)Must pass a pre-employment drug testMust be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is locatedAuthorization to work in the US is required. (Sedentary)Compensation:The base pay range for this position is between $88,000.00 and $132,000.00 per year.
