Clinical Specialist

Abbott seeks a Clinical Specialist to provide engineering, sales, and technical support for electrophysiology products treating atrial fibrillation. The role bridges clinical expertise and business operations, supporting physicians and internal teams with product knowledge, training, and procedural guidance.
Responsibilities
- Provide engineering, sales, education, and clinical support to physicians and healthcare professionals on electrophysiology products
- Develop, lead, and facilitate training programs for healthcare professionals on EP products and related technologies
- Act as clinical interface between medical community and business, building relationships and sharing product expertise
- Provide regional procedural case coverage and back-up support to sales representatives for demonstrations and troubleshooting
- Offer market feedback and guidance to management on next-generation product development and industry trends
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering or related field, or equivalent healthcare experience
- Minimum 2 years increasingly responsible experience in cardiac pacing and related industries
- Demonstrated knowledge of cardiology, electrophysiology, or cardiac electrophysiology procedures
- Advanced knowledge of cardiac pacing systems and familiarity with cath lab and OR protocols
- Ability to apply engineering skills to interpret and solve complex clinical problems
- Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, analytical, and organizational skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to develop presentation materials
