Avacend Health seeks dedicated Registered Nurses (RN) for immediate 13-week contract opportunities across ICU, Emergency Department, Labor and Delivery, and Operating Room specialties. Assignments are available statewide in Austell, Augusta, and LaGrange, Georgia, offering day, night, and on-call shift options. Work within interdisciplinary healthcare teams providing compassionate, evidence-based care in fast-paced clinical environments.

 

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care tailored to specialty needs
• Administer medications, treatments, and specialty-specific interventions safely
• Maintain prompt and accurate clinical documentation using electronic systems
• Collaborate effectively with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and health management
• Respond decisively to emergencies and patient condition changes
• Adhere to facility policies, patient safety standards, and infection control protocols
• Participate in floating assignments and on-call coverage as required

 

Required Qualifications

• At least 1 year of recent nursing experience in ICU, ED, L&D, or OR settings
• Graduate of an accredited or approved nursing program
• Active Georgia RN license or multistate Compact RN license
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

 

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong critical thinking and communication skills
• Proficiency with electronic clinical documentation
• Demonstrated expertise delivering quality patient care in specialty areas
• Efficient time management in high-demand clinical settings
• Experience with EPIC electronic health record systems

Compensation and Bonuses

• $48–$65 per hour on a W-2 basis
• Weekly pay
• $200 referral bonus after the referred nurse completes 30 days
• Travel stipends may be available for qualifying candidates
• Qualified nurses can earn a $1,000 bonus—$500 after completing 30 days and another $500 after successfully completing the 13-week contract.
