Senior Human Resources Coordinator

Under general supervision by the HR Director of the Bureau for Social Services, this position performs complex professional human resources work in one or more specialty areas, analyzes information to determine appropriate procedures within law, rule, and policy to use in the administration of a variety of human resources functions, provides leadership, guides teams, and addresses escalated issues. Incumbent’s responsibilities will include: Enter ESMTs and PSMTs; process applications; oversee new hire packets; enter and approve job postings in NeoGov; submit staffing requests; review and update workers’ compensation reports; track Performance Appraisals to ensure compliance; assist managers and supervisors with HR policy interpretation; monitor staff reallocations and retention increases; serve as a liaison between units and the HR Director; prepare and distribute organization charts; prepare and distribute monthly vacancy report; assist with staffing/recruitment/job fairs; communicate with the Office of Human Resources Management (OHRM) on solving issues as needed; process settlement agreements, review WV Cares applications and schedule fingerprints; monitor Kronos and make necessary mapping changes; oversee biweekly On-Call forms; and track policy acknowledgements. Experience: Two (2) years of full-time or equivalent part-time professional human resources, payroll, bookkeeping or accounting experience.
