VIP Community Services
VIP Community Services in the Bronx seeks a Counselor CASAC to provide client-centered substance use counseling within an integrated health and social services setting. The counselor will conduct biopsychosocial assessments, develop person-centered treatment plans, and provide individual and group counseling using evidence-based approaches such as motivational interviewing and relapse prevention. Working as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team, the counselor will coordinate care with medical, psychiatric, housing, and reentry services to support recovery and stability. Responsibilities include thorough clinical documentation in an electronic health record, adherence to OASAS and HIPAA standards, participation in case conferences, and engagement in ongoing training and supervision. This role offers the opportunity to make a direct impact on underserved populations while advancing skills in behavioral health and community-based care.
