Positions Overview:

As our Logistics Coordinator/Inventory Specialist, you will be instrumental in the smooth operation of our distribution center, overseeing the efficient transportation and distribution of goods. Your meticulous attention to detail and strategic oversight will contribute directly to optimizing inventory management and ensuring timely delivery to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and schedule shipments and deliveries of goods to customers and distribution centers.
• Monitors inventory to maintain optimal stock levels and coordinates replenishment orders as needed.
• Collaborates with internal departments and external partners to meet customer expectations and operational goals.
• Coordinates logistics activities with suppliers, vendors, and logistics partners to resolve issues and ensure smooth operations.
• Conduct regular inventory checks and reconcile discrepancies between physical stock and system records.
• Proactively address issues related to transportation delays, inventory shortages, or customer complaints.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Work Environment:

• The work environment may include moderate warehouse noise, typical of a distribution facility.
• Temperatures in the warehouse will vary depending upon the season

Additionally, the role frequently involves sitting, eye-hand-foot coordination, and the ability to adjust body position to bend, stoop, stand, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for long periods of time.

Requirements:

Required Knowledge, skills, abilities and other characteristics:

• Forklift Certification Required
• At least five years of related experience required; supervisory experience strongly preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of logistics processes and inventory management.
• Proficiency in logistics software and systems.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures.
• Thorough understanding of applicable federal, state, local, and company safety policies.
