Position Summary

The organization is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Family Medicine Physician to join its growing outpatient primary care team in Oxford, Connecticut .

This role includes:

• Comprehensive outpatient primary care across the lifespan

• Management of acute and chronic medical conditions

• Preventive care, wellness visits, and health screenings

• Chronic disease management including hypertension, diabetes, asthma, and other common conditions

• Coordination of care with specialists and hospital-based providers

• Collaboration with advanced practice providers and multidisciplinary support staff

• Participation in quality improvement and academic initiatives, if desired

This is a full-time outpatient opportunity offering a collegial work environment, strong physician support, and a competitive compensation and benefits package.

Essential Position Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care to pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients

• Diagnose and manage acute illnesses and chronic medical conditions

• Conduct annual wellness visits, preventive screenings, and physical examinations

• Develop individualized treatment plans and provide ongoing follow-up care

• Order, review, and interpret laboratory and diagnostic testing

• Coordinate care with specialists and hospital-based teams

• Maintain timely and accurate documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR)

• Participate in shared phone-call coverage with minimal burden

• Collaborate effectively with physicians, APPs, nursing staff, and care coordinators

• Participate in quality improvement, educational, and community health initiatives as appropriate

Qualifications Education

• M.D. or D.O. degree

• Completion of an accredited Family Medicine residency program

Licensure & Certification

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine

• Eligible for Connecticut State Medical Licensure

• Active or eligible DEA registration

• BLS certification required

Experience

• New residency graduates welcome

• Experienced Family Medicine physicians encouraged to apply
