Position Summary:

As a Project Management and Administrative Intern, this role supports project managers and accounting staff in the administration and financial tracking of environmental consulting projects. This internship provides hands-on exposure to project management, budgeting, invoicing, and business operations within a professional consulting environment.

Essential Job Functions:

The following duties are considered essential to the role. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions:
• Assist with tracking project budgets and external expenses across multiple projects.
• Support preparation and review of client invoices, expense reports, and project financial documentation.
• Maintain project records, spreadsheets, and administrative files to ensure accurate and organized documentation.
• Perform general administrative and operational support tasks as assigned to assist project teams and office staff.

Required Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent. Preference given to individuals currently pursuing a bachelor's degree, preferably in Economics, Business Administration, Finance, Environmental Studies, or a related field.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a professional office environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a willingness to learn project management and consulting business practices.

Physical Requirements:
• Manual dexterity to use a computer mouse, keyboard, and other computer-based tools.
• Visual acuity to read and interpret project-related and financial documents.
• Ability to communicate effectively in person and via electronic means.

Additional Information
• This position is based in our Lafayette, CA office 100% of the time, with no expected travel.
• This position is scheduled for part-time work for approximately two days a week. Additional hours may be required based on project needs.
• This is a temporary position scheduled to end in August 2026.
• The hourly rate for this position is $22.00/hr.
