Quick Facts Location: Athens, OH (55 Hospital Drive, Athens, OH 45701) Start Date: 04/28/2026 End Date/Duration: Perm Shift: 24/7 on-call coverage; round and go model with call from home Hours/week: Flexible, based on leadership and team needs Employment Type: Full-time, permanent License/Certs: Medical license in Ohio (or eligibility) required Experience: Minimum 5 years of pediatric hospitalist experience, leadership experience preferred Pay & Benefits Hourly Pay Rate: $1.00 (Note: pay details discussed upon interview) Benefits include: Competitive salary package Weekly pay via direct deposit Health insurance (medical, dental, vision) Life and disability insurance Paid sick leave and professional liability coverage Relocation assistance, if applicable Continuing education and leadership development 401(k) with company match Employee stock purchase program (15% discount) Pre-tax HSA and FSA options Optional hospital, critical illness, and accident plans What You’ll Do Lead and oversee a team of three Pediatric Hospitalists providing high-quality patient care Manage newborn nursery care with NICU support from Pediatrix Neonatologists Perform circumcisions and provide pediatric consultations in the ER Collaborate with neonatologists and other specialists to ensure comprehensive care Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical research Support and facilitate team communication and workflow efficiencies Promote best practices and mentorship within your team What You Need Required: Medical license in Ohio (or eligible) 5 years of pediatric hospitalist experience Leadership or management experience in a hospital setting Strong collaborative and communication skills Preferred: Experience with NICU support teams Previous experience as a Medical Director or in healthcare leadership About the Assignment Join a forward-thinking hospital in Athens, Ohio, committed to delivering excellent pediatric care.
