Step into a rewarding contract opportunity providing occupational therapy services to K-12 students for a 6-week leave coverage assignment starting mid-October. Located in a welcoming community near Madison, IN, this full-time role allows you to make a meaningful difference across 2-3 school sites as you manage a diverse caseload of approximately 80 students.
Your expertise will be valued as you help students navigate daily challenges, promote independence, and support their educational journey. You'll collaborate with engaged staff and families, tailoring interventions to individual needs in a dynamic school environment.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license (Indiana or eligible)
- Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred
- Ability to work independently and at multiple school sites
- Confident managing K-12 caseloads and adapting services across ages
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services per student IEPs
- Conduct assessments and document progress for K-12 students
- Collaborate closely with teachers, special education teams, and families
- Contribute to IEP development and attend meetings as needed
- Travel between 2-3 assigned school sites during the coverage period
- Maintain accurate records according to district and state standards
