Insurance Verifier

Overview Looking for a career that makes you smile? We’re seeking an Insurance Verifier to join our growing team. Responsible for performing various financial, administrative and insurance related activities. Responsibilities Verify patient eligibility, submit insurance claims, and manage the process until claim is funded. Communicate with patients regarding past‑due accounts using phone, email, and text messaging. Work with clinic team members to ensure payments are collected. Collect and process payments on past‑due accounts. Work with patients to make payment arrangements as necessary. Perform general office and administrative duties assisting with the patient process. Process and document clinic forms accurately to ensure HIPAA and State law compliance (patient records, financial forms, and insurance contracts). Adjust patient ledgers. Qualifications High School diploma required. Minimum of 1 year experience in billing, collections, or insurance processing. Basic knowledge of computer and standard office equipment. Basic knowledge of mathematical principles. Basic knowledge of current collection laws (preferred). Basic knowledge of insurance administration or processing. Intermediate knowledge of MS Office applications, proficiency in SharePoint & Excel. Skilled in customer service. Skilled in organization and time management. Skilled in problem‑solving techniques.
