The position performs a variety of tasks to maintain the cleanliness and order of a building/facility. The job includes a variety of tasks to ensure that the environment is safe, clean, and hygienic for employees, customers, or vendors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Sweep and mop floors regularly to maintain cleanliness and safety standards
• Empty trash receptacles and replace liners as needed
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and floors
• Restock restroom supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper
• Perform outdoor cleaning duties such as sweeping walkways, picking up trash, and maintaining outdoor trash receptacles
• Dust furniture, fixtures, and surfaces to maintain a tidy environment
• Clean windows and mirrors
• Operate floor sweepers and other cleaning equipment as needed, ensuring proper usage and maintenance
• Adhere to safety protocols and use personal protective equipment when necessary
• Report any maintenance or repair issues to the appropriate personnel
• Follow instructions and schedule provided by supervisors to complete tasks efficiently
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude while interacting with colleagues and customers
• Duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent required or a combination of education and experience
• 1-year prior experience in janitorial or custodial work required

Ability to multi-task. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Strong time management and organizational skills. Ability to work under dynamic schedule constraints and consistently meet deliverable timelines. Ability to work with, interact and communicate across all levels of the organization. Must have the knowledge of safe lifting techniques, the ability to work independently and part of a team, and hand-eye coordination.

The noise level in the work environment is moderate. Mostly an office environment, but on occasion, may be required to travel to other sites that are not office environments. In a plant or warehouse environment where temperatures may vary, and noise levels are high. Personal Protective Equipment is required i.e. safety glasses, hearing protection, steel toe shoes, protective gloves.
