Maintenance TechnicianSoftLite Windows & Doors, is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to support our high-volume manufacturing operations in Streetsboro, Ohio. This is an on-site, full time position.This role involves maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing complex manufacturing equipment to ensure maximum uptime, safety, and operational efficiency. Join a team that takes pride in a clean, organized, and safety-driven facility—where tools, equipment, and workspaces are maintained to high standards.Key ResponsibilitiesAdvanced Equipment TroubleshootingDiagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues on manufacturing equipment.Trouble-shoot PC/PLC controlled equipment, sensors, drives, and automated systems.Utilize schematics and technical documentation to identify root causes of failures.Respond quickly to production downtime to minimize operational disruptions.Communicate with OEM technical support to speed up equipment repair.Preventative & Predictive MaintenancePerform preventative maintenance on production equipment including welders, cutting systems, conveyors, and automated assembly equipment.Identify early signs of equipment wear and proactively address potential failures.Develop PM procedures and schedules for critical machinery.Maintain detailed maintenance records and contribute to continuous improvement.Safety & ComplianceFollow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.Ensure equipment repairs meet safety and operational standards.Support lockout/tagout procedures and safe maintenance practices.Cross-Functional CollaborationPartner with production supervisors, engineers, and leadership to resolve equipment challenges.Contribute ideas that enhance safety, reliability, and operational excellence.QualificationsRequired Qualifications5+ years maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, or in field set-up and/or service of computer-controlled equipment.Strong knowledge of: computer/PLC troubleshooting, industrial electronic systems, pneumatic systems, mechanical systems and machine repair.Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical diagrams.Experience troubleshooting automated manufacturing equipment.Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently as well as with a team within a fast-paced production environment.Strong commitment to workplace safety.Preferred QualificationsExperience with CMMS maintenance systems.Physical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, bend, and climb for extended periods.Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with noise, moving machinery, and varying temperatures.
