Job Details

Responsibilities: As a Permanent Controller, your primary responsibilities will include: overseeing all accounting operations, coordinating and directing the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, preparing and publishing timely monthly financial statements, developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies, managing and complying with government reporting requirements and tax filings, conducting reviews of all financial reports, collaborating with the management team to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and personnel.

Qualifications: The ideal candidate for the Permanent Controller position should possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, with a CPA certification including 3-5 years in public accounting OR 5-7 years in the Transportation/Logistics industry highly preferred. A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in an accounting leadership role, thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, experience in creating financial statements, excellent understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), experience with general ledger functions, the month-end/year-end close process, and forecasting and budgeting, strong skills in variance analysis and logistics management, excellent accounting software user and administration skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of accuracy, exceptional written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
