Job Title: RN CVICU Profession: RN CVICU Specialty: RN CVICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:45 AM - 07:15 PM Hours per Shift: 13 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active RN license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Certification Must-Have: Critical Care/Cardiac Critical Care background required Open heart recovery experience required Post-cardiac procedure recovery experience required Description: The unit consists of 8 beds with a patient ratio of 1:1 to 1:3. The patient population includes post-surgical management for cardiothoracic surgery, vascular surgery, thoracotomies, and TAVRs. Candidates will manage patients post-open heart surgery and post-cardiac procedures. Candidates will perform surgical procedures, central line placements, arterial line placements, and chest tube placements. Familiarity with Edwards monitoring and GE monitoring is necessary. Experience with SWAN Ganz catheters is required.
