Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a registered nurse (RN) specialized in Medical Surgical (MedSurg) nursing for a facility located in Meridian, Idaho. This position involves working on the MedSurg unit, primarily caring for medical and behavioral health patients. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of employment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with weekends as needed, and first to float
• Required Qualifications: Active BSN license, BLS certification, a minimum of 2 years of MedSurg experience, EPIC electronic health record experience, ability to read and interpret telemetry strips
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with EPIC, Telemetry interpretation, and willingness to precept new travelers
• Additional Information: Candidates must submit their permanent address to verify they are outside the facility's radius rule of 50 miles before review. The unit has a patient ratio of 1:5 or 1:6 occasionally, with nurses responsible for reading telemetry strips and managing titratable drips such as heparin, PCA, and morphine. The unit includes patient care techs and virtual telemetry techs. Orientation involves three days of general training, online modules, and two shifts of on-unit preceptor training. Float between MedSurg units and other system units may be required.
