Phlebotomist

Job Overview Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team at a client site in Weaverville, NC . Work Schedule: Mon – Fri, 8:15 am - 5:15 pm Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc. Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely Process billing information and collect payments when required Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis Maintain patient and specimen information logs Provide superior customer service to all patients Administrative and clerical duties as necessary Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED or equivalent Phlebotomy certification or completed training program, or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist Preferred Qualifications 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience Additional Job Standards Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency if work experience is lacking Must be able to pass a standardized color blindness test Flexibility to work overtime as needed Exceptional customer service skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently or in a team environment Comfortable working under minimal supervision Travel to additional sites when needed, reliable transportation Compensation and Benefits Sign on Bonus $3,000.00 PST Incentive Plan : Eligible for a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics Employees scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees scheduled for less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
