Phlebotomist

Job Overview Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist to join the team at a client site in Weaverville, NC. Work schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:15am–5:15pm. Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc. Enter patient information accurately and in a timely manner. Process billing information and collect payments when required. Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain patient and specimen information logs. Provide superior customer service to all patients. Handle administrative and clerical duties as necessary. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Phlebotomy certification or completion of an accredited training program, or at least 3 months of experience as a phlebotomist. Preferred Qualifications One year or more of phlebotomy experience. Additional Job Standards Phlebotomy certification or training program must come from an accredited agency. Must pass a standardized color‑blindness test. Flexibility to work overtime as needed. Exceptional customer service and strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Comfortable working under minimal supervision. Travel to additional sites when needed; reliable transportation required. Sign‑On Bonus $3,000.00 sign‑on bonus may be offered; PST’s may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.
