Survey Crew Chief
Join a Leading New Jersey Surveying Firm
-Plan daily fieldwork, review project documents, establish survey control, perform field calculations, and verify data accuracy.
-Operate robotic total stations, GNSS equipment, digital levels, data collectors, scanners, and related surveying technology.
-Prepare accurate field notes and documentation, maintain equipment, mentor field technicians, and communicate field issues to Survey Project Managers. Required Skills & Experience -Minimum 5 years of progressive land surveying field experience, including independent survey crew leadership.
-Strong knowledge of boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, utility, as-built, and construction surveys, with the ability to interpret deeds, plans, maps, and specifications.
-Proficiency with modern surveying equipment and the ability to perform field calculations, evaluate survey control, and identify potential boundary or field conflicts.
-Valid driver's license, willingness to travel throughout New Jersey and surrounding areas, ability to lift 50+ pounds, work outdoors in varying conditions, and work overtime or occasional overnight assignments as needed. Preferred Skills & Experience -Experience with AutoCAD, Carlson, Civil 3D, Leica, or similar surveying software and equipment.
-Associate or bachelor's degree, CST/SIT certification, or related professional training and development. Compensation & Benefits -Salary Range - 75-90k
