Staff RN GI Lab

Position Overview The GI RN Staff Nurse plays a critical role in protecting, promoting, and optimizing the health and abilities of our patients. This role is responsible for delivering direct nursing care within the Gastroenterology (GI) setting, collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care, and monitoring patient status with timely response to changes in condition. The RN also provides education to patients and families regarding procedures, treatments, and recovery, while ensuring accurate, timely documentation in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards. Primary Department: GI Lab, UHS Wilson Medical Center. Primary Work Shift: Day. Regular Scheduled Weekly Hours: 36. Compensation: Per hour, depending on experience. Education & Experience Minimum Required: Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing. Preferred: Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. Previous clinical nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting. License & Certification Minimum Required: Current NYS RN License. Preferred: Professional certification in a related nursing specialty (e.g., ACLS, PALS, TNCC) as required by home unit assigned.
