Senior Developer

Application Engineer OpportunityHitachi Energy's Grid Automation business is looking for an Application Engineer to develop software applications used by electrical utilities to monitor, study, optimize, control, and simulate power networks, smart grid systems, and distributed energy resources. In this role, you will work on highly available, scalable, and reliable Energy Management Systems applications that supports transmission and distribution networks relied on every day. You will design, develop, test, review, and maintain applications that help utility operators improve grid reliability, evaluate system conditions, and support real-time operational needs. This role offers the opportunity to apply software development skills alongside power systems knowledge, working across areas such as EMS applications, power system modeling, simulation, optimization, numerical methods, and data standards.
