Applied AI/ML Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop, ship, and maintain AI/ML and generative AI services for Apple hardware product development teams.
• Build infrastructure, evaluation pipelines, and integration workflows for AI/ML applications.
• Create software that provides data insights and supports decision-making across Hardware Engineering and related teams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners and customers to iterate on effective solutions.
• Design reusable, modular systems and evaluate complex AI systems to produce actionable hypotheses.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience using Python or another object-oriented programming language.
• Ability to write applications in a high-level language such as Python, Ruby, or Java.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Preferred: master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Preferred: experience with LLMs, custom ML model training, RAG or agentic pipelines, data analysis and visualization, AI system evaluation, Kubernetes, cloud deployment platforms, and modular system architecture.
