Core Responsibilities

• Performing thorough patient evaluations, requesting diagnostic procedures, and creating tailored care strategies
• Diagnosing and addressing acute, episodic, or chronic health issues in partnership with physicians or independently (as per credentialing)
• Educating families and patients on disease prevention, wellness strategies, and health management

Educational Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Necessary Certifications

• Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of Texas
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or an equivalent specialty
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or capacity to obtain within 90 days)
