Facility Address: 1970 Roanoke Blvd Salem, VA 24153ResponsibilitiesThe RN Med/Surg utilizes the nursing process and interdisciplinary approaches for comprehensive patient care.Perform nursing duties aligned with physician-prescribed treatments.Assist patients with daily activities and administer medications per facility policies.Collect patient and family histories, documenting them in medical records.Conduct patient assessments, revise care plans, and communicate essential data to medical staff.The RN Med/Surg executes physician's orders, responds during emergencies, and assist in surgical/diagnostic procedures.Educate patients and families on prescribed treatments, assessing and recording their comprehension.Manage patient transfers, administer respiratory care, and ensure professionalism in adherence to VA service standards.Verify and implement physicians' orders, administer IV fluids, and blood products following established protocols.The RN Med/Surg maintains a neat appearance, uphold patient rights, including privacy, and consistently demonstrates courteous conduct as per VA guidelines.RequirementsCompleted courses for nursing from an accredited program approved by either the Commission for Education in Nursing or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.A current license in at least one state, territory, or commonwealth in the U.S. or the District of Columbia.A minimum of two years' experience in this field.KurzSolutions is committed to improving health outcomes by providing well-managed companies with the top healthcare talent in the market.
