Cardiac Catheterization Technologist

This is an hourly position. OSF offers a supportive environment focused on professional growth and development. Benefits include paid continuing education units (CEUs), tuition reimbursement for further education, a 401(k) plan with a dollar-for-dollar match on the first 5% of salary contributed, and 40 hours of Well-Being Time each year, available after 90 days of employment and renewed annually on your work anniversary. In addition, OSF HealthCare is a qualifying employer for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program.
Overview POSITION SUMMARY: Assists physicians with performance of invasive cardiac procedures, serving as a radiologic technologist and/or scrub assistant, performing hemodynamic monitoring and procedural charting. Assists in the care, transportation and preparation of patients.
Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: - High School diploma or G.E.D. required. Licensure/ Certification: - Licensed in Radiology by the State of Illinois Division of Nuclear Safety (IEMA) - Requires Registry from ARRT - CPR certification required. Other Skills/ Knowledge: - Knowledge of diagnostic radiology principles and procedures as acquired through completion of 2 years training in an approved school of radiologic technology required. - General computer knowledge. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: - Successful completion of EKG arrhythmia course preferred. Licensure/ Certification: - Successful completion of ACLS preferred.
