As a Security Officer Part Time Route Driver in Newburgh, NY , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you. Pay Rate: $19.00 - $20.00 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon03:00 PM - 11:00 PMTue03:00 PM - 11:00 PM How This Role Works: Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment. Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed. Responsibilities: Provide customer service by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a retail location. Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner while documenting relevant details and notifying site contacts as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout sales floors, entrances, parking areas, stock areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions. Monitor access points, observe customer and visitor activity, and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or maintenance‑related concerns to the appropriate personnel. Support loss prevention and store operations by assisting with security‑related requests, following post orders, and maintaining a visible presence throughout the location. Minimum Requirements: Have at least 1 year of security‑related experience. Be at least 21 years of age. A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
