They are currently seeking 2 experienced CNC Set Up Technicians to join their busy CNC machining department on day and night shift. Position Overview We are looking for skilled CNC Set Up Technicians with hands-on experience setting up, adjusting, and maintaining CNC machines in a production environment. This position plays a key role in ensuring machines are properly tooled, production runs efficiently, and parts consistently meet quality standards. Candidates with Swiss CNC experience, blueprint reading ability, and strong mechanical aptitude are encouraged to apply. Key Responsibilities Perform machine setup and changeovers on CNC equipment Install and replace tooling, drills, inserts, collets, and fixtures Set tool offsets and make machine adjustments to maintain part quality Conduct first-piece inspections prior to production runs Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and setup sheets Troubleshoot machine or tooling issues during production Perform minor preventative maintenance including cleaning and oiling Keep machines supplied with raw materials during operation Use precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, and gauges Complete production and quality documentation accurately Follow all plant safety procedures and quality standards Assist with other duties as assigned Compensation Starting at $18.00/hour or higher based on experience Competitive pay increase potential for candidates with strong CNC setup background Qualifications Minimum 1 year of CNC machining or CNC setup experience required Prior CNC Set Up experience strongly preferred Swiss CNC or multi-axis CNC experience is a plus Ability to perform tooling changes, offsets, and machine adjustments Must be able to read blueprints and inspect parts to print Experience using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring tools Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability Good attendance and reliable work ethic Basic computer skills Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
