RN PCU- Zanesville OH

Location : Zanesville OH 43701

Duration : 13 weeks

Pay-rate :$45-$48/hr

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality care to patients in a cardiac step-down/telemetry setting. The ideal candidate will have strong experience caring for cardiac patients, including post-operative open-heart patients, heart catheterization recovery, cardiac drips, and complex medical-surgical step-down patients.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide comprehensive nursing care to cardiac and medical-surgical step-down patients.
• Monitor patients with complex cardiac conditions and recognize changes in patient status.
• Care for patients recovering from open-heart surgery and other cardiac procedures.
• Provide care for patients recovering from heart catheterization procedures.
• Manage and monitor patients receiving cardiac drips.
• Care for post-operative and medically complex step-down patients.
• dminister medications and treatments safely and accurately.
• Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and other clinical indicators.
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation using Epic EMR.
• Follow established patient safety, infection control, and clinical protocols.
• Provide care for ventilated patients when required based on patient needs and staffing circumstances.
• Float to other appropriate units when necessary to support staffing and patient care needs.

Required Qualifications:
• Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum 3 years of cardiac step-down experience.
• Open-heart experience is required.
• Epic EMR experience is required.
• BLS certification is required.
• CLS certification is required.
