Bring your expertise as a School Social Worker to a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary students in grades K-4 who require emotional support. This full-time, onsite role offers the chance to make a direct impact on students’ lives, working within a welcoming and collaborative educational environment near Kingston, PA. The assignment runs from your earliest availability through June 9, 2027, ensuring continuity for the students you’ll serve.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid and current license or certification as a School Social Worker
- Previous experience in a school setting, especially with early elementary-aged children
- Strong background supporting emotional and behavioral needs of diverse students
- Ability to collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Compassion, adaptability, and commitment to student advocacy
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct counseling and emotional support services to K-4 students
- Design and implement intervention plans addressing emotional and social challenges
- Assist in crisis intervention and case management for students requiring heightened support
- Consult with teachers and staff to better understand and respond to students’ needs
- Engage families in the counseling process and provide resources for ongoing support
- Maintain accurate, confidential records and documentation in line with school policies
