About the Role

The Company is in search of a Head of People to spearhead the development and execution of talent acquisition, culture, and people strategy. This pivotal role is focused on the hands-on leadership required to build and maintain a strong company culture and employee experience, particularly as the organization expands its office. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading full-cycle recruiting, establishing direct sourcing strategies, and partnering with senior leadership on organizational design and workforce planning. Additionally, the Head of People will oversee onboarding, internal communications, and recognition programs, as well as support workforce transitions and maintain multi-state employment compliance. Applicants for the Head of People position at the company should have a minimum of 8 years' experience in HR or people operations, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. The role demands a professional with a proven track record in managing in-house recruiting at volume and a strong background in building people programs within a smaller, fast-moving organization. A working knowledge of multi-state employment law is essential, and experience in media, entertainment, or consumer brand environments is a plus. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader, comfortable operating with a lean team, and possess an SHRM-SCP or SPHR certification. The Head of People will also be expected to supervise a people operations team member and serve as the first point of contact for employee relations matters.
