Lead SQL DeveloperOur Annapolis, MD based client, has an immediate opening for a Lead SQL Developer. In this role, you will be joining a team of developers assigned to projects with new release cycles and O&M of existing code. The majority of the environment is internal custom applications and requires a strong developer with a team mentality to work with the Business Analyst, Project Manager, and Web Developer to complete assigned projects. This contract to hire position is 100% ONSITE IN ANNAPOLIS, and offers an on-site cafeteria, free parking.ResponsibilitiesPerform performance management, including running diagnostics, optimizing queries, other performance tuning, and ensuring proper backupsModify existing databases and database management systems or direct other programmers to make changesTest programs or databases, troubleshoot issues, correct errors, and make necessary modificationsPlan, coordinate and implement security measures to safeguard data against accidental or unauthorized damage, modification or disclosureDevelop standards/best practices to guide the use and acquisition of software to protect vulnerable informationQualifications10+ years of recent experience / daily use with MS SQL DeveloperExperience with SSRSStrong MS SQL development (minimum 2012) experience with ability to design complex stored procedures and functionsExpertise and knowledge of best practices with MS SQL Server and SQL developmentStrong understanding of relational database designPer our client contract, candidates must be US Citizens or Green Cards
