Specialty Lab Assistant

Labcorp seeks a Lab Assistant for its Portland laboratory facility to handle specimen processing, data entry, and equipment maintenance on a first shift schedule. The role involves preparing clinical samples for testing and maintaining laboratory standards and safety protocols.

Responsibilities Receive, sort, and prepare clinical specimens for testing and analysis Perform data entry and scanning of specimen and patient information Monitor laboratory equipment functionality and perform routine maintenance Troubleshoot specimen-related issues and replenish bench supplies Maintain clean and safe work environment while following Standard Operating Procedures Requirements High School Diploma or GED equivalent Comfortable handling biological specimens with accurate identification Basic computer knowledge and data entry skills Ability to pass standardized color blindness test Strong attention to detail and multitasking in fast-paced environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills Prior healthcare, laboratory, or manufacturing production experience preferred Compensation:
