Basic Function - Under the direction and supervision of the Associate Provost for Student Success, the Student Success Coordinator performs a broad range of customer service, administrative, and operational support duties for the Center for Student Success and the Office of Research
Representative Duties - 50% – Disability Support Services SupportFacilitates and monitors disability-related accommodations, including but not limited to testing allowances, books in alternative formats, note-taking services, adaptive technology, accessible furniture, and other departmental functions. EOpens and closes office and oversees front desk services, including student staff, front desk workflow, phone calls, and mainDSSemail. EProvides services toDSSstudents including conducting student meetings, maintaining confidential notes, and collaborating with faculty and staff regarding appropriate accommodations and support forDSSstudents. E40% – General Student Success SupportProvides general administrative support to the units within the Center for Student Success. EProfessionally and effectively communicates with various stakeholders, including students, families, faculty, and staff, performing duties, such as: answering calls; relaying messages to appropriate personnel; screening and routing calls, emails, and walk-in visitors; coordinating communication between the department and constituencies; and providing information to various constituencies (students, faculty, staff, families, prospective families) regarding departmental processes and policies. EServes as the initial resource for students and families in fielding and addressing questions and concerns and responds in a timely manner with tact, professionalism, and confidentiality; works as a liaison in referring higher-level student questions and concerns to the appropriate head of department. EUses effective customer service techniques to communicate with students and families on basic academic advising and resolving student success-related needs; works collaboratively with Student Success Counselors, Academic Advisers, and departments in providing consistent and accurate advisement to students. ERoutine typing and data entry of student information into the Ellucian Colleague database system andSLATECRMsystem. EOffers guidance to student workers with regard to job-related duties, such as customer service and departmental projects.; collaborates with leadership with student employee training and managing tasks and assignments. EMaintains and uses calendars to arrange and schedule a variety of meetings and appointments; make room/event reservations. EProvides operational support to departmental staff in the planning, coordinating, marketing, and implementation of Student Success sponsored events. EMonitors progress of assigned projects. EPrepares drafts and notes including letters, memoranda, agenda, minutes of meetings, reports, requisitions, and other materials/correspondence. EMaintains student data in a confidential manner according toFERPAguidelines; maintains communication logs as appropriate. ECompletes ongoing training and professional development required for this position. EPerforms other duties as assigned.10% – Office of Research SupportReserve rooms and coordinate event setup/catering requests with Campus Services for the Student Research Symposium, Festival of Scholars, and other Office of Research events, including SwensonCUREFaculty Learning Community meetings and summer Professional Development Workshop Series. EReview and edit Office of Research publications and materials (e.g., Student Research Symposium program, impact reports, donor stewardship booklets) for accuracy, clarity, and consistency prior to final production. ECompile lists of research student names and relevant information for Honors Convocation and other campus functions as requested. ECoordinate guest speaker payments, including tracking required paperwork and following up with the Business Office to ensure timely disbursement. EReview Summer Research Fellowship documentation for accuracy and completeness, and follow up with relevant campus offices (e.g., Business Office, ResLife, Student Accounts, Registrar) to ensure they have the information needed to process payments. EAssist students with completing travel reimbursement forms and maintain the tracking spreadsheet to ensure submissions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.EE= Essential Duties
Knowledge Of - Relevant rules and regulations pertaining to functional areas, including the Federal Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).Excellent interpersonal, organizational and oral/written communication skills.Transitional issues from hgih school to college for students with disabilities, including but not limited to applications of learning styles and understanding of motivating factors.Correct English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and vocabulary.Effective academic resources and strategies, including but not limited to motivation, time management, learning styles, and various forms of study skills.Computer software programs, including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite, Google, Database, spreadsheets,CRM, and other relevant softwareCampus policies and procedures, including institution catalogs and handbooks.Center for Student Success programs and services.University mission, goals, and objectives

Minimum Qualifications - Any combination equivalent to: A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and one year of experience in the higher education field.
Preferred Qualifications - Fluency in Spanish
Licenses and other requirements - Ability to travel and work flexible hours as needed
Physical Abilities - Detect to understand appropriate written correspondence; operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer; communicate to exchange information in person, in writing, on the telephone and by email; stationary position for extended periods of time; move or transport light objects; position self to store and/or retrieve files
Environment - Office environment with constant interruptions and multiple projects; possible evenings and weekends, or holiday duties.
Hiring Range - $22.00 to $24.00
