Technical Support Engineer Location: WFH USA Washington Redmond Salary : $110k Rate : $60/hr The pay range for this role is $110K Max per annum including any bonuses or variable pay. Years of Experience: 5 7 Years Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Engineer with a strong background in Application Support, specifically in 2nd line support for clinical applications. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of technical troubleshooting, customer service, and clinical application environments. This role is crucial in ensuring the seamless operation of our clinical applications and providing exceptional support to our users. Responsibilities: Provide 2nd line technical support for clinical applications, resolving complex issues escalated from 1st line support. Diagnose and troubleshoot application related problems, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to users. Collaborate with cross functional teams, including development and product management, to address and resolve application issues. Document and maintain detailed records of support requests, resolutions, and system changes. Conduct root cause analysis for recurring issues and implement preventive measures. Assist in the training and onboarding of new support staff, sharing knowledge and best practices. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in clinical applications to provide informed support. Participate in on call support rotation as needed. Mandatory Skills: Proven experience in 2nd line application support, particularly in clinical or healthcare environments. Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service. Familiarity with clinical applications and their workflows. Experience with ticketing systems and support documentation. Preferred Skills: Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA). Experience with database management and SQL. Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies. Certifications related to technical support or clinical applications (e.g., ITIL, CompTIA). Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 5 7 years of experience in technical support, with a focus on application support. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote work environment. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
